Two things come to mind when I think of Saturday’s family shoot: fun and gorgeous!

 

Being surrounded by happy families is one of the best parts of doing this business and I loved spending a gloriously sunny afternoon with the T Family this post October weekend!

Maryland Princess Portraits.

I’m pretty sure I was supposed to have a daughter.

 

I just love princess too much to not to!

 

Strangely enough, instead of having someone to dress in frilliness and cover with glitter I’ve got a house full to bursting with Dudes.

 

I guess that’s why I’ve launched this new element at Then Again Photography: Princess Portraits.

 

A glitterful, glamorous, twirly day for little girls to experience the magic of being a princess.

 

Bring your own wand or borrow one of mine.

 

You can ask a whole group of princesses to join you at your portrait party, or savor it all yourself.

 

You can even bring a prince along if you want, so long as he’s armed to slay the dragon!

 

Either way there will be a tiara (every little princess gets one to keep) and many magic moments captured.

I love being able to capture special moments with young families!

 

I had a wonderful time doing that with the M. Family in Bethesda this past weekend.

Newborn Photography. Alexandria, Virginia.

There’s something special and good and sweet and perfect about the smell of newborn babies.

I remember it from when I had my own and I love the opportunity to relive those happy parts about having a new human in your life when I photograph a newly expanded family.

I also love that, after three hours of me adjusting and posing and down right harassing the desperately-trying-to-sleep bundle, I get to leave the family and come home to remember it all in silent, not overstimulated photographs!

Thank you so much, G. Family, for letting me into your home to enjoy your sweet family.

Hope baby girl and big brother weren’t too upset after I left!

And, maybe it was worth it…

All Grown Up.

That’s what she is now.

Well, not really, but sort of.

Just seven months ago she was here…

Naked and sleeping to her mama’s heart’s content.

And, look at her now…

Still cute as a button…

As she works the room in search of smiles and anything else she can wrap her pudgy little hands around…

I could go on forever about this little bundle of love.

But, I won’t.
