Virginia family portraits. clifton railway.

As a mom to boys, I appreciate the effort when they show up for a photo shoot clean, composed, and on their best behavior.

 

Exactly the way the M. Family showed up for or shoot at the Clifton, VA train station in the quaint town center.

 

It was a miraculously beautiful afternoon.

 

People were everywhere, but we were able to take a few moments and capture these train loving brothers on the tracks.

 

So much fun!

Maryland Princess Portraits.

I’m pretty sure I was supposed to have a daughter.

 

I just love princess too much to not to!

 

Strangely enough, instead of having someone to dress in frilliness and cover with glitter I’ve got a house full to bursting with Dudes.

 

I guess that’s why I’ve launched this new element at Then Again Photography: Princess Portraits.

 

A glitterful, glamorous, twirly day for little girls to experience the magic of being a princess.

 

Bring your own wand or borrow one of mine.

 

You can ask a whole group of princesses to join you at your portrait party, or savor it all yourself.

 

You can even bring a prince along if you want, so long as he’s armed to slay the dragon!

 

Either way there will be a tiara (every little princess gets one to keep) and many magic moments captured.

A Perfect Fall Day. Virginia Family Photography

Every now and then as a photographer you have a perfect day.

I can't say that this past Sunday started off that way; there were a couple of less than happy kids, a session gone long, and DC Metro area traffic designed to ruin me.

It definitely was not my favorite Sunday.

But.

When I arrived in the quaint Northern Virginia neighborhood that the N. Family calls home I was sincerely hoping for a perfect shoot.

And guess what?!

It pretty much was!

Because they were the cutest little family.

And the weather was fantastic.

And the fall colors were at their best in the nearby park and tree lined streets.

So when I drove away on Sunday I was pretty dang happy with the way my day turned out.

And, I hope that the N.Family was too...
