It's not everyday a girl gets to turn 80 years old!



And, when she does it only makes sense that her whole beautiful family makes it a point to show up to enjoy a piece of cake with her!

As the mornings grow colder and the days grow shorter, being an on-location photographer who shoots most happily outdoors requires some bundling up.

Not only for me, but for my littlest clients too!

Little Miss E. was such a good sport when I met her, her parents, and her best bud, Woof this past weekend.



She took me outside and showed me her swing and her lawn mower even though she was, as she kept reminding us, "Burrrr!"



Thanks for making my chilly Sunday morning a little bit warmer!



And, happy birthday, to my newest 2 year old friend, Burrr!

A Perfect Fall Day. Virginia Family Photography

Every now and then as a photographer you have a perfect day.

I can't say that this past Sunday started off that way; there were a couple of less than happy kids, a session gone long, and DC Metro area traffic designed to ruin me.

It definitely was not my favorite Sunday.

But.

When I arrived in the quaint Northern Virginia neighborhood that the N. Family calls home I was sincerely hoping for a perfect shoot.

And guess what?!

It pretty much was!

Because they were the cutest little family.

And the weather was fantastic.

And the fall colors were at their best in the nearby park and tree lined streets.

So when I drove away on Sunday I was pretty dang happy with the way my day turned out.

And, I hope that the N.Family was too...

We've got the Redskins and the Cowboys going head-to-head this holiday season as we hit the football field of a local high school to snap some shots of one of my favorite local families.



It's almost a crime to have these two teams on the field at the same time, but it's even more of a crime having so many cuties in one household!
