Family Fun at the Lake

When the S. Family showed up for their shoot last week at the ridiculously cold lake for their photo shoot I was jazzed (seriously, it was unseasonably cold and the kids spent half of the shoot wrapped in my backdrops that I just happened to have brought along).

They were so dang cute!

Ms. S herself is quite a hottie...

And, she has a perfectly gorgeous daughter...

And, a strikingly handsome son...

Lucky!

But, they best part about the day was learning that not only are they easy on the eyes, but they are also a TON of fun!

Especially young Mr. S.

He was very sassy in front of the camera...

But, don't let him fool you, he loves his mama!

Score!

Taking pictures of fun families is my photography dream come true.

Hope they enjoyed their shoot as much as I did despite the fact that we were shivering the entire time.

Gone to the Races!

And what a beautiful and fun day it was!

I got to spend a lovely afternoon on the grounds of this beautiful plantation in Virginia...

with this sweet and fun family and a whole bunch of their equally sweet friends...

But, the party didn't really even get started until the guest of honor, Baby J, showed up...

Looks like someone has his Mimi wrapped around his little finger!

Hard to not fall for such a happy and handsome little dude...

Thank you so much to the J Family for inviting this Frederick photographer out to the beautiful Virginia area for a day at the races! The rest of your shots will be ready soon!

Everything Nice

Part cowgirl...

Part princess...

And, tons of fun...

That's how I would describe Saturday morning's shoot with these two daddy's girls...

More to come soon!

Proof that Kids Are Heroes

And, I got to see that first hand yesterday when I grabbed some shots of some really cool kids making bears to donate to area hospitals, police/fire rescue organizations, and orphanages in Uganda at Boyds Bear Country in Gettysburg.

It was my first time at the shop, but the kids looked like bear making professionals!

Lots of them even brought along their parents to help out with the hard stuff, like holding their extra bears, and smiling real big for the camera!

Is there a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon?

These kids don't seem to think so!
